Well heres my opinion on the 2 baised on experience. heres my inaccurate review. ive noticed that with Small boxes even tuned low i get WAY more output vs using an larger box no matter what the tunning would be in the larger. example i had 2 15" American Bass DX woofers in about 2.2-5 cubes each sub powered by an Kicker KX 2500.1 and honestly on sheer loudness it wasnt far from myPrevious 4 15" Kicker L5's in an 16+ cube box tuned to 37hz. only difference i noticed is that the kicker had WAY MORE low end, but it seemed like the 2 15's tickled my ears a bit more. that small box was tuned to 30hz. so im wondering what make the smaller boxes soooooo much louder? i was also able to pull an hair trick wit the smaller box/port but the bigger box with more port wasnt able to move as much air? ive noticed alot of the louder guys perfect example STEVE who only has about 5 cubes per 18 and i think 120sqin of port wtf? is smaller the way to go now? another question is dealing with fs who else has noticed that its a bit more painful in the high 30's/37-9hz and 40's 40-49hz that it is in the LOWWW freqs like 30hz?
im asking these noob questions because i just got an PAIR of 07 RE SX 18's and im not sure WTF to do Box size wise. not sure if i just want it PAINFULLY loud or KILLER LOWS? what do u all think?
