Small 2 or 4 channel

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a physically smaller amplifier, with the largest side being around 12 inches or smaller. Hopefully somewhere around 150w x 2 @ 4ohms. I'm thinking about going with an Audiopipe apsm-4080, but if I can get something for cheaper/help someone get rid of old equipment, I'm all for it!

they might have something smaller, I had just looked at that before I read your post. I was looking for an amp that could run a sub, with a subsonic filter, plus front channels. It could make a nice stealth install.

Scan ebay for old school 4 channel amps. You should be able to find something that'll do that power for $50. And it'll be a solid made amp vs something that's cheaply built by today's standards.

Well if it's close to $90 or $100, I'd rather just go with an APSM-4080 or 4050, so something below that. I've been watching eBay and haven't really had too much luck yet. I plan to stuff this into a speaker cabinet that I'm building with 8" woofer and tweeter to make a relatively small self contained speaker system.

Please share your design and goals for this, I have seen several of this type of speaker. and you can save a lot of money and extend battery life by using a non car audio amp. I can help pm me if you don't want to post here.

What I plan on doing is using these speakers for a bunch of different things... Speakers for my room mostly I think, but I'd also like to be able to use them for parties/ portable PA and yes, of course, in the car. I think I might toss in a tiny behringer board that I have laying around just for grins and giggles
