Don't waste your time with trying to get rid of viruses and spyware. Backup your shit, format your drive, and install a fresh copy of Windows.

Either that, or switch to Linux for a true stable OS.

see i can't do anything with it now. everything i try to open says failed to iniatilize properly. this has started ever since i did that restore. how can i fix it?

See if you can backup anything thats important or that you wanna keep. Then get a Windows CD from a friend, and start from scratch.

The idea is not to fix anything, but to start over.

yea i wanna start over. i don't have a lot saved on it. all the music i have on it is on my ipod, and all the software i have copies of. idk where i'm gonna find a windows disc
