lately my desktop has been running slow. not only online but with everything else. i've ran about 5-7 different virus scans and found no viruses. when i shut down the computer, it won't turn off. all the icons, control bar, everything goes away but the background stays on and is frozen like that till i pull the plug. what can i do to stop that and speed it up?

backup all ur shiz and reformat/reinstall windows... it will run like new again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif till it gets junked up again anyways

that will be the only way to get a really noticeable improvement

true

**** and warez sites are the top 2 offenders for virus and spyware problems

your computer either came with system restore disks, or it came with a restore feature installed onto the hard drive

you should completely reformat your hard drive, install a fresh windows installation, and from now on use firefox to browse ***** sites

Well, too late, his computer is PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!KNFKNSKNF

seriously, open the box that your computer came in, pull out the instructions

and find out how to do a system restore

it either came with disks or something preinstalled on the hard drive

and i'm not talking about the windows xp built-in restore thing
