not particulary, just the designs are different. slot is harder to construct. for home use, I like round (you usually tune lower). for car use, i'd say vented (tuning higher, more practical).

as far as sound goes? No.

As far as port area and length and tuning and accounting for the cu.ft.? Yes

if you have enough port area and tuning in both cases, no audible notices

Im wanting to tune my box to around 37 but I dont know if I should go raound or slot, my box is 4.4 cu.ft.. What do you guys think would be best

u mean flared? or something else...flared ports are great in reducing noise.

how do I measure for a slot port, I think Memphis only recommends like 1.6 or 1.8 for those subs, I think Ill have to check, but thats not to small for them either way

on there recomended shhet for 2 12's vented 3.50 cu.ft. with a port of 11.5x2.5x13 tuned to 38

how do I measure for a slot port

Lv = (23562.5*Dv^2*Np/(Fb^2*Vb))-(k*Dv)

where,

Dv = port diameter (cm)

Fb = tuning frequency (Hz)

Vb = net volume (litres)

Lv = length of each port (cm)

Np = number of ports

k = end correction (normally 0.732)

round ports are very easy for changing tuning.

IMO aeroports > slot ports
