Flared aero ports (tube) seem to be much more efficient space wise, and tuning is more easily changed with an aero.

I prefer to use slot port because it's cheaper and adds bracing to the box.

There is no efficiency difference between a properly tapered slot and an aero. The ease of building a slot is advantageous. The ease of tuning an aero is advantageous. Go with the one most appropriate for you.

aeroports save space but can get expensive if you need a bunch of larger ones, slot saves money and adds a brace but takes up alot more space in the box
