Can't speak on the 10's. Had an 8" in .75@35hz and it did well. Had an Alpine type R 8" in the same enclosure and it outdid the Skar. Alpine got lower and I threw twice the lower to it. Skar was given 400 watts and didn't seem to handle the lower well.

Those vd only have 7mm xmax and that on the 12's.. i'm looking at the vvx d2 12's cause 18mm xmax and 600rms for same $ i just sold my orion hp out of my box today and it was 8 yrs old.. they have good ratings but idk and i know nothing about 8's., look up and ask about soundqubed 8's guy on here has some ported about 140db lots of power..

I just installed a skar vd-10 in a small .8 cube sealed box and I am actually very happy with it so far. I haven't gotten to really test it out because of amp issues but from what i've heard it sounds great.
