Skar IVX v2 15 box

Anyone with insight on this sub?

My bro-n-law wanted to do a super budget setup so he went with the ivx 15d2 and the skar 550.1.

Im helping with the box. Will be utilizing a 6" aero. My first thought is 3.5cu at 33hz.

Input? Music is mainly rap and r&b, some rock. Car is 90s camry

3.5 will be fine but I'd tune higher...around 36-38hz.

Lil update. Put sub in temporary box I had laying around. 4.3@29. It is way too bottom heavy in this box. Seems like box is too big too.

We do want to keep some of the low end. Current box seems to be peaking around 32.

Based on that, is 3.5 @35 going lose too much low end? He stated he only wants it to play slightly higher.

4 cubes at 32 sounds like a nice balance.

To be honest i'd shove a bunch of sh*t in that 4.3 cubes box take up some airspace while raising the tuning first and see how it goes.
