Sirius Radio Question

I just recently bought a Pioneer PNR2 Sirius Radio component and an Antenna on ebay. I just hooked all of it up and to my surprise I was getting a signal! Then I started driving to work and the signal kept goin in and out, but had worked flawless for a good 5 minutes. After the signal was done comin in and out, it just dissappeared and said "ACQUIRING SIGNAL".

Now is this a faulty antenna or is it because I haven't subscribed yet? Could it still be hooked up to the guys credit card I bought it from which is why I get a signal sometimes or do they allow you to "preview" channels for a good 5 minutes before cutting your signal?

I only want to know cause I'll call Sirius and subscribe if I have to, but if it's the other side of it and all I need is a new antenna, I'd rather go that route.

How about me and you figure out how to get sirius for FREE! I just god a sportster for free and hooked it up yesterday, when I powered mine up it just says aquiring signal but never loads anything..... I assumed you needed to subscribe first...

id love to not have to pay the $15 a month

you should get channel 184 activated or not ( I think thats the number, one info channel comes up when not activated)

To me it sounds like your antenna, not an activation issue. Where did you mount the antenna?

Mounted it on the roof of my Magnum. I'll try different things when I get home. Cause yah, I had it on 184 and even that was cuttin' in and out and eventually dropped.

The bigger antennas workbette //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif don't trust those coin antennas unless you like your signal fading in and out

You got an example of those? Or website?

Can someone please show me or point me in the right direction to the "big antenna"? All I can find are the small ones.
yea ur gunna have to find someone with one.. sirius and xm only seam to sale the smaller ant.. i have a bigger but not "big" ant here at my shop 25.00 shipped.. its like 1 1/2'' by 2''

my signal only loses connection when I drive under overpasses, big overhanging trees, or through tunnels. O yea also the parking garages but it doesnt bother me too much as 99% of the time it has perfect connection
