Single Sundown Zv3 15 trunk enclosure help

Can someone please help me figure out the specs of this this box? Torres keeps messing me up because it's telling me to bend the port, which is not what I want to do.

Is this design even worth a ****?

I'm looking for just over 3 Ft3 net. "Reason I say just over is to allow for 45s in the corners" tuned @ around 30-32hz

Driver displacement is 0.24

Asking for 3 cubic feet because that's what the Sundown site suggest.. Is this wrong? Will it sound better in a different size enclosure?

The total length of the port I have shown is 34"

Outter Dimensions are 15.75 high X 15.75 deep X 40 long

Feel free to tweak the dimensions up to 16 high X 16 deep and 36-44 wide

First off i would avoid firing the sub up if at all possible ..and id get the port facing the rear..ive setup a d done a few with side fire and all were low on output conpared to rear firing.and why are you opposed to bending the port ? If the calxulator says u need a port bend then you need one ..this is what determimes tuning frequency and port area

And what trunk do you have that u can fit 44" wide ..i have a huge trunk and 37 is about it

Yeah I know what you mean, I've already tried different boxes with 2 12s and then a single 18 in place of the rear seat. But I didn't like the way that either of them sounded...

So now I guess I'll try the trunk in all its sealed, fuel tank filled crappyness

the reason I was trying for this design is because the box is 15.75 X 15.75 so it would allow me to turn or filp the box. So I could basically do sub back, sub up or sub forward with the port on either the drivers or passenger side. To see which way would sound best in this very weird trunk

Thats a good idea. Those are really hard to get to sound good...awful design...top gear voted it the worst designed car ever lol..but being able to flip the box is a plus ..my last box i made able to turn all 4 ways

I'm not going for numbers, just a good daily build. I mostly listen to decaf and got 160s music.

I guess what I meant by sound like crap was is there any reason that this box shouldn't perform well?
