single sub setup, 1 ohm from amp (dual 4ohm or 2ohm sub)?

Question in title. I have an amp and im going from 2 subs to 1, do i need to buy a dual 2 or 4 ohm sub to be correct when getting it wired at 1ohm? thanks!
