yeah I've read several birthsheets for the RF t20001bd. a lot of people are getting more than 2500 rms with it.

I'd like to see pictures of what their amps clamped. And by that I mean in something that can be used daily, not a loaded down burp setup.

What is printed on a birthsheet, and what an amp actually puts out in a car are two completely different things. Between voltage drop (controllable) and impedance rise (not so controllable), real-world numbers are often nowhere close to BS #s.

ok. not everyone has access to high-end testing equipment to see "real-world numbers" and the base of comparison of amplifiers is either rated RMS or RMS listed on a birthsheet. The birthsheet simply shows that its putting out slightly more than its rated RMS (on my amp, some top out around 2900 watts rms.

When a person has an amp thats rated at a certain amount (regardless if its a real-world number), a performance level is mentally paired with that rated level which cause people to expect a certain amount of output for a certain rating. Basically an amp rated from its company at 2000 watts is not going to be equal to an amp putting out 2000 "real world" watts.

Regardless of any of that BS, an rf t20001bd is plenty enough power for a single 12" sub in a daily system.

Agreed, for comparison, BS #s are a good place to start. I just hate when people bench race t/s params or birthsheet #s, then think that they're sending birthsheet #s to their sub/s.

As for a direct comparison, it all depends on the setup.
