suggestion... go to an install shop that builds boxes or if you got the stuff to make it correctly go to a woodshop buy .75" mdf and build it to spec. 12x12x12=1728 inches also known as a cubic foot.........................................................................

what does your speaker specs say? And one more thing, do not build a rectangular box!!! The subs will be fighting it's own pressure cause it will just bounce back and forth. Build one that has an angle at the top so the air and sound will have something to bounce off of.

They have great box calcs. It's really easy to use. Just scroll down to wedge 2 enclosures. That's the one i used for my pioneer 10s and it sounds good!

Thats what it is supposed to do- hence the term "Accoustic Suspension" (Sealed Enclosure) The woofer is dependant upon the air in the enclosure providing the correct ammount of resistance to the cone in order to promote excursion- thus output.

A rectangular box is perfectly fine.

Thirsty, taken your measurements into consideration-

16x32x8 / 1728 = 2.37037- ~ Approx 2.4ft^3

This would give each woofer roughly 1.2ft^3 of internal enclosure volume. For a 10" - that is fairly normal for Lanzar.

As stated allready, check the woofers specs one more time and go by what they are refering.

If you happen to have the Thiel/Small Specs of this woofer, we can plot out optimum enclosure dimensions for specific output characteristics using software such as WinISD, Box Plot, LspCAD, LEAP, BlauBox, etc.

Take it easy,

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.
