Single budget 10" for small ported app

I'm looking for recommendations on a single 10 inch sub in the $125-$175 range that would perform in a single cab Ranger application. So the biggest issue is the mounting depth can't be too crazy. Looking at doing about 1.2 cubic feet ported for the single 10" and we're not set on the frequency yet. Shooting for 400-600 watts RMS. I think this guy prefers SPL over SQ if that matters for this price range.

does it have to be a true shallow mount sub? if not my pic is an elemental designs Oseries sub, even the kseries can handle that much power. The pioneer mid-level sub would work too (I forget the current model number).

Dayton HO ten. works best in .7 net tuned to 30hz. sounds like that will work very well.

I got a set of 05 Powerbass 10" subs with 250 RMS each, they love that much space but your only wanting one. 80 plus shipping for both, or 40 plus ship for one

Tell your friend to wait about two months for the new SI BM to come out. It's a 12" sub with 3.5" of mounting depth. Get two of em (they'll do just fine with 300 to 500 watts per sub) and throw them in 1 cube net SEALED. It'll rock in that ranger.
