Single 12" BTL Fi Subwoofer

Once I found out that you need to build your own box for these subwoofers I said oh crap. I was wondering if anyone had information on how to build a box for the sub. My dad is a construction worker so if someone has dimensions that they think would work that would be great. I'm just looking for dimensions for a box that would fit in most cars. I'm in between selling my Sebring Convertible so I'm not sure how big the trunk will be. Thanks.

It really depends on what car you drive and what you want out of it.. Look up box designs on here. There is a thread with a massive compilation of box designs and find the right ported box size to the tuning you want (follow recommended). I'd recommend 2-2.5 cubes ported tuned anywhere from 30-35 hz. I'd recommend 33 hz personally.

This is assuming you have a proper amp and electrical to go along with it

look at the stickies in the enclosure and design section...I'm not sure what Fi recommends but look at something like 2cubic feet tuned to 35-ish Hz.
