Singer Alternators downtime

Well stop posting stupid Anti-American crazy talk on Facebook and stuff and the "man" won't be climbing up your a** lol.
[emoji33] i didnt even know i had a facebook //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Something many people do not know, large case GM housings were out of stock from every supplier for approx 3 to 4 weeks. This is exactly why you had to wait so long on such a common alt. We dealt with the same lengthy delays on many large case units pending to be built.
I did not know that as i do not buy from suppliers. If that was the case i would have overnighted one of my own cases i have available.

man why didnt you just buy a large case AD244, they bolt right into our trucks... I got a 200amp ad244 for $300 and it was at my door in a week and a half.

nothing against singer but that build time is crazy, need to find a way to keep up with demand.

Maybe you guys had that issue, but where I purchased from had plenty in stock. they were even talking about upgrading the housing to one with a grounding bolt on the case of the alt

Oh we had plenty in stock but with the tax return surge by the time we went to reorder we had to wait.

I was just relaying info because I know several companies were in the same situation.

I don't have anything to measure it, so i can't say. I know there's some good reviews out there and it helped when i replaced my stock alternator. amperage ratings when it comes to any alternator are always questionable you have to decide for yourself which is the best lol

Nothing against you guys but Michael has sold a lot of Alts without any issues and provided Awesome Customer Service to a lot of customers.

I'm not representing any company, lol. Can't really have anything against someone with an unbiased opinion anyway. I was offering him an alternative. If it makes you feel better I know singer is a good product. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Doesn't change the fact that the build time is obviously slow.

Finally got my alternator as of 5/4/15..

Mike was cool enough to send me a volt meter and decal and included a gm connector incase of alternator regulator not turning on.

Took me a couple minutes to figure out why my battery light was on, but its up and running.

Its charging steady at 14.4, but still am getting voltage drop at high bass notes.

Need to check my wiring or amp to see whats going on, but its good.

275 6 phase amp alternator from singer.

My battery light came on aswell with my 320 6 phase and blazians battery also came on when he installed his alt in his corola. You were able to get it to turn off? When i sold my alt to justin braaaaap jim said something about the nbs trucks needing a "sense lead wire" or something to fully supply the benefits of high amperage at idle or something. Forgot what it was but i know he had to order something else for the alt to work 100%

Yeah just needed a extra connector that has a sense lead.. I put the sense lead on the charging post and the battery light went out.

Same with me.. Battery light was on, and I was charging at 15.4v.

Ran a new sense lead, and battery light went off. Now I charge at 15v
