Singer Alternators downtime

310 amp
I never ever go below 14 at the amp (dc 5.0k @ 1.5).

XS d3100 in back and an Exide g78 agm under hood.
I guess i need to stop on my alts and start going full on welding wire and agms.

Oreily agm is no good. Or my grounds are no good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh, I gotcha.
I'm going with GP for my next alt, because they make a 400 amp hairpin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
Let me know how it specs out

Jim is great. When I was going to go singer he was there for every question I had. Talked to him on the phone. Bought my dc 18"s from him years back. Couldn't ask for better. He needs a raise!
Raise? Haha hes his own boss...

Wish mike would have given me his personal number.

There is no in store. Its all drop shipping.

Dealers do tend to own stores and use dealer discounts to sell at higher prices and purchase units for future purchases to be quicker.

Many audio manufactures have there select shipping companies who receive bunchs (drop shippers).

But alot send trucks out from there own warehouse and drop off at each locations.

I would not get Optima. The new ones are made in Mexico and apparently don't last. There's a whole thread on CACO about how bad the new optimas are.

av83 hooked me up with a great deal on the Exides //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Duracell and Deka are also good, from what I hear.

Ya must be the battery cuz I have the singer 270 like yours and even with the 7k @ 1 ohm I was stayin around 14 and heavy banging it would drop to around 13.4 but I also have 4 Jb black cherrys and that probably helped alot. I am going too two 270 one for stereo and one for truck or toying with the idea of going back to stock alt for truck and two 270 for stereo cuz I found dual and tripple mounts for my year gmc now.

At idle it always stays at 14.2 unless I crank it drops to 13s but I usually am driving when I crank it up but my voltage meter is at the amp and the batterys are probably whats holding it up. but stock voltmeter and one at amps are almost always at 14.2 at normal listening levels for me is around 46 -50 vol on prs 80

To the original post, I ordered a 270 from singer 5 weeks ago after being told that expected delivery would be 2-3weeks. I payed the invoice immediately when he sent it and on invoice it was changed to 3-4 weeks. Not a deal breaker as I don't mind the extra wait for a quality product. Last week I emailed asking for a status update as it had been 4 weeks and no contact from Mike & no alternator. He emailed me back saying he would be shipping it out last week. Not sure what's up but I still have no alternator yet and am getting concerned.

Everyone here always talks about the great customer service and I understand that sometimes things happen but not everybody seems to be receiving that. At this point I am unhappy and hope that when and if I do receive an alternator that it performs as expected....

Will update when/if I receive my alternator

You will get it.

As far as customer service it is great to a certain point.

But as for constant communication it is the only issue of his.

I have recommended a better option for him towards support and communication, but i doubt he is willing to change the way he works.

Having people text/email/call all night and day can be fustrating and hard to keep up with so my option would have fixed this in a better way.
