I am choosing something somewhere in the middle of the posts I have seen thus far this evening. I am looking at some components, but would like a better brand than the main stream, but need some education as to where to look. I want to spend around $125 for a pair.

Pioneer 1720c

Jl c2-650

Polk db651

Kenwood X1720p

Boston sc60

Please comment on any above, or for around that price range, send me a great speaker!

I am running 60 RMS to each speaker and have a single sealed 12 in the trunk on it's own dedicated amp.

Since PPI stopped making the 356's you are a bit limited with your budget.

Maybe you could find a used set of Pioneer 720PRS within your budget.

Have you looked into the phinox gold rsd65cs components? I have been told that there prity good for sub$100. I have a set and will be installing th soon.

I am more than able to spend more. I thouht this was a good budget for a nice set of components that are not competition or audiophile grade. What should I be looking at? I don't need the neighbors to be impressed down the street, just great for those in the car.....
