I am not a sound system guy, have never installed one but have been doing alot of research and was told this board had a bunch of cool guys who could help me out easily.
Here's the situation, I bought a 99 ford and it had the crappiest speakers I've ever heard (ever).
I bought 4 new 6.5 door speakers, 2 tweeters, and a 4 channel 800w amp. This is not high end stuff, I'm not going for rattling off the rear view mirrors on the cars around me, I just want to be able to hear my music in my truck and add a little extra oomph.
I'm keeping the stock head unit which I now know doesn't have the correct connections or a remote wire.
I then bought a PAC 4 channel line converter (as was told I needed to do).
My question is, how does it all hook together.
1) amp power to battery (with a fuse)
2) rca to head unit through converter?
3)speaker cable from amp to each speaker ? (what about the tweeters?)
Sorry if this is really elementary to you guys, I'm working with what I have.
