I fabbed up a box yesterday for my Sundown E-10 v3. It's built to Sundown's specs out of 3/4" Baltic Birch. I will be finishing it with a black stain. Very compact for a ported enclosure.

Specs:

- 1cu.ft. (net of port displacement and sub)

- 15.50" width (external)

- 13.50" height (external)

- 18.25" depth (external)

- 1.25" port width

- 35.5" port length

- Tuned @ 32 Hz

Nice work, is that the plan they offer free on their site? I made that same box for my brother, but your work is much better than ours was when I made that one lol. It sounds awesome BTW! Let us know what you think

Thanks guys.

It's built to their port/volume specs, but doesn't exactly match their design. Should sound about the same though.

A wise man from this forum once taught me that one can make a box with no screws. Very nice box but imagine no screws ... it’s would be just a little nicer

I would have still braced the two internal corners, but looks great and should sound nice and last quite a while being real wood
I only "braced" the external corners for air-flow purposes, not strength. Given how small this box is, and how strong baltic birch is over MDF, I think bracing is wholly unnecessary, especially at the power level this thing is running at.

Box looks nice, but the height to width ratio of the port exceeds 9:1 which isn't ideal.
Meh, it's at 9.6:1. Good enough. This thing is rarely turned up to even 50% of its ability because it just gets overpowering and annoying. I really just like being able to hear the full frequency range of my music now.

how big did you cut the circles? And how big was the birch sheet you got? Im building a box probably this weekend.
just read thread if u wanta copy this box make port 1.5" wide so u have no more than 9" height to 1" width (make box shorter) like he said if u running low power it'll be ok as is..
