Yeah man, a year? Thats a crock of shiat. Get on your ins company. Call them daily. They will get you $$$. They hate people bugging them. They know they have to pay, and they will hold out on you if you leave them to do their own thing. You have to harass them.

It's not my insurance, I have been emailing and calling quite a bit and I'm just now getting my loan paid off today with the money from the auto part =/

I'm gonna let my attorney do all the work, he has won a lot of cases and big $$$ with a lot of my mom's friends in the past few years. He is one of the best around so hopefully he will work fast!

I hope you're right, man. But, as you know, I've got some experience with the legal system. In my experience, it's NEVER fast.

So, I ended up finding this and it's quite a bit cheaper. I went and drove it today, and it actually drives really well and is really clean for a 21 year old car!

In my experience, its the medical aspect of your insurance claim that has the insurance company worried. So far as I understand it, the medical claim is above and beyond the usual accident reimbursement aspect of the claim, and could easily eclipse the actual vehicle replacement cost for them. A couple years ago when a woman ran into me and totaled one of my vehicles, her insurance company (Allstate) was all hot and bothered to get me to sign off on my medical injuries (had none to speak of) and even bribed me with an extra $1000 to sign it.

I finally had to contact the driver personally and explain my lawsuit papers would be sent to her in the next few days (suing her personally) before her insurance company would get off their ***** and finalize the claim. This is what a lawyer told me to do, and it worked perfectly. Id waited many many months for them to pay me in the undisputed claim. Later the very same day after I called her and told her I would be suing her personally, her insurance company called me and said the check was in the mail. Amazing coincidence, right?

Insurance is a rip off in both directions (paying in, and getting paid from them). Its almost a legal license to steal imo. Good luck getting this all sorted out ge_off_me.

hey i had the same thing happen to me but it was alittle diff . i need a few surgeries and my car was paid off. i got a check for what my car was worth . that took like 2 months and i got a check from the accident wich took 7 months. i was out of work for 14 months do to what happen . u just have to get a car to get around in my case it was to dr and thearpy etc. just take it easy and dont b like im gona get this amount or that amount its gona **** when the lawyer takes there fee. boy was i pissed i seen a nice big check then i had to sign it over and i got a nice amount but it was not a new bmw like i was thinking of geting. yup
