i can do this all night
and all of those would fulfill my "insatiable need for loudness" lol?

also, nobody has mentioned running multiple components. too great a feat for a noob? should i just be concerned about finding a top of the line amp before i ever decide to go that route?

well, that's a whole new monster. i'd be willing to do it, but i'd probably ask 10x mroe questions (because it's hard to sort through amps and get specs on them and reviews when they are no longer in production) which means i'd be 10x more annoying. but maybe i should do that... just settle with my hifonics amp for now, and take my time buying a used amp.
I'd be willing to help you out pm me if you want just welcome my input and don't be so stubborn lol

Run nice set up front and the rears are just fill.

lol.... You should have bought the mb quart 3 way comps I had for sale.

A nice 3 way set if you want to do some custom work on your doors, would work great for you.

Just focus on your amp first though lol.

no i mean, multiple components up front. i see guys with 5 sets in their doors and just drool.
That isn't needed. A solid amp and a good pair of components is all most people need. The guys that have 4 and 5 pairs of components are usually running massive power to huge subwoofers. That type of thing isn't necessary for a daily driver vehicle...

alright, makes sense. so you think my problem is just a product of using cheap or overrated amps? i think i'll just look for something better, with some help along the way

(remember, i was the guy pissed off about infinity amps haha)

I remember who you are. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say you aren't getting the results you want due to a combination of a few things.

1. install

2. equipment choice

3. amps aren't set up properly

Also, being new to the hobby, your expectations are probably sky high. You've gotta crawl before you can walk.

mmhm true. that was a wise statement haha. my expectations probably are a little too high. but how to you eat an elephant? one bite at a time i guess. I was thinking of purchasing polk MM6501 components soon for the front. would the lower impedance make much of a difference? or should i focus on a better amp first, before i invest in high quality speakers?

It honestly doesn't matter. If you want to have both, you're going to have to buy them anyway. Flip a coin.

You should look into Image Dynamics components. I'm also a fan of Boston Acoustics...
