Lastest gen and claw are completly different (mine is the newer version with the Desjil motor). There is no approximate because my setup to your will have variables. lets just say sealed I can get mine to tap with 950rms and I can get it ported to do it between 1100-1300.
They really dont need more then 1kw max. Honestly it wont be any louder to your ears from 900-1100 watts and anything above 1100 is not good for the sub.

I figured they were quite different, was just trying to get a ballpark.

I thought generally sealed is better power handling because of the extra "suspension" from the trapped air in the box on the back of the sub.

Anyways I think I'm giving mine around 1000 watts ported at 2 cu ft (DMM is broken) and it's been doing fine. I think I might turn it back a little based on what you said about not being able to hear a difference. Thanks.

so \..the mag wont take it then..i guess i can always turn the gains down... i want it to be louder..thats the main thing ..of course i want it to sound good also...My sx is pretty **** loud for a single 15: setup..it sounds meh..could be better..i really want a xxx but they r real expensive.... lemme know what else is out there that can be louder than a sx..what about those brahmas that are for sale in this forum?

brahmas would equal the older XXX, which should sounds better than the SX. Louder? Perhaps. Though that is not its intended purpose

A sub will move further in a sealed box then in a ported box.

i got a brahma in the same box different amp though. brahma doesn't seem to take as much power, it sounds damn good though

It'll take 1700 daily easily. They eat up 2500, and RMS is 1500-2000.

Dono if it'll be louder, never heard an SX. My guess is yes though.

sx's dont exactly sound good.. so.. i doubt it. should be fairly equal
