SI Mag D2 vs. DD 3512

I have had SS rlp and loved it ported, now sold. I am putting one single 12 in my trunk. I ordered DD 3512 but it will be 6 weeks. Now with all the threads on SI mag d2 I am wondering if I should switch. Both will be ported at around 2 cu ft with 1000 watts going to it. Want SQ and A little SPL, but listen to some metal and techno as well as rap. I figure the DD will have more output but not sure. They are same price shipped

not many people have heard a new magnum...The 3500 line gets pretty loud and sounds pretty decent tuned low..

how much power do you have on tap? the 1000?

The dd could take 2000w daily fine if you wanted to give it more.

I would compare it to an SX, but Im sure the sq on the mag is much better than the 3500.

Well since you tend to favor SQ then i would go with the SI. The DD usually only takes 4 weeks but if they told ya 6 then that sucks. But the DD will absolutely pound your brains out but it seems like thats not what your looking for. Thats my opinion. If you wait though you wont be sorry.

Well I have the rl-p and a dd3512. Of course you know the rl-p sounds great. The DD gets almost as loud as the rl-p in the same box. The difference is that the rl-p is seeing about 900 watts while the dd3512 is only seeing about 500 watts. The rl-p sounds cleaner but that might have a lot to do with the box being 2 cubes. I think it may sound better with a bigger box.
