Working with 1.5 cu^ft tuned to 32hz and roughly 1000rms. I'm mainly looking for SPL here. What do yall think will work better? a SI Mag D2 12" or a L7 12" 2006 version? Sorry if im too vague, im pretty new to the caraudio scene //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

SPL and 1.5 cubic feet don't go together

if it's for spl only check into DDs they do sick numbers with tiny boxes. I remember Justin Dohman was doing 150's with his TRF 10"s in TINY boxes like the sub barely fit in them boxes a year or two back. smaller boxes with higher notes are common in spl imo or used to be.

yeah im not expecting to hit any thing special, just something to give me a little more bass than the average sub. thanks for the replies guys

I'd do a 10 in that size of enclosure. They'd like the aispace alot more, which despite the cone area loss, may give you an SPL advantage. However, it seems from your recent post that your not "really" looking for SPL. You just want something louder than average for your daily driver. Both mags and L7's fit the bill, even if the mags sound quite a bit nicer. I don't know how much room you have, but you may want to think about a Mag 15sealed.

Yeah they run small boxes but GOBS more power than you or I would be running. Unless you're a pro-competitor of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
