Of course Electrodynamics suggestion (3.5 at 32? or so) sounded the best and wasn't too far off SPL by ear comparison.

People asked all the time if they could tune lower, but when they took our recommended enclosures for ... well ... exactly what they were recommended for, it always worked out the best overall.

Tuning to 40 Hz is pretty high, but I know it hits like hell! We had four Mag 12's ported to 45 Hz and it was stupid loud (that was the 156 dB score).
