Si Mag 12 vs Fi Q 15

You probably will be able to run about 1200 watts to them with that amp. Should sound pretty good on 600 watts each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I love FI lol you will be very happy with them. Are you ordering them new from the site?
Yea I wud buy them straight from the site. I wud buy them used If it was someone close to me, within driving distance.

If you want SQ 1 Mag V4 will **** any Q in SQ, it won't even be close, and even at 600 watts the Mag V4 would be more than happy.
You heard one already?!?! They aren't out yet!

jk;)

But yeah, I had a 15" Q sealed, and i was VERY surprised with the output of it. I didnt expect it to be quite that loud. Even sealed.

I would look into doing a single 15" Q sealed. That should be louder than two 10's off 500w a peice.

He said a 15 woud not fit though. 15 vs 2 10s id take the 15 as well but 2 10s would probably beat 1 12 right?

dude.. is it even out yet? or is this more forum bonerism? ill take a guess as to which it is:rolleyes:
Not out yet but many have listened to it already and have said it sounds a lot better than the old Mag which already spanked the Q in sound quality.

I wasn't sure if he thought a 15 ported wont fit. A 15 sealed will take up just as much room as a 12" ported. And, he said his budget was tight. 2x drivers = 2x the price. OP, whats your price range?

And yep, two 10"s have more cone area than a single 12"

As much as I trust all those guy's judgement (that have heard the new Mag), I'm not sure that any of us should recomending stuff that we haven't heard first hand. lol.

What are we to do then?

If all of us instantly stopped recommending anything we have not personally heard I think the board topics and replies would go WAY down.

Isn't that the purpose of a review anyway? To let people know (subjectively, of course) what they thought about the product?

And from those reviews we can make our own assumptions and/or opinions as to the nature of the product. We can then choose to either recommend the product or to not recommend the product.

This is very true for two (or more) products that are being compared that we have not personally heard. For instance, you're looking at two subwoofers being compared that you haven't heard. Both have been reviewed by the same person (not you) and for subwoofer #1 the reviewer said it sounded great. For subwoofer #2 the reviewer said it sounded like an elephant farting. Are you saying that in that situation we should all sit back and say "well, I don't know which one might suit your needs better because I haven't personally heard both options?"

I don't agree. If I'm trying to help someone out and I do my research and find out that widget #1 is getting rave reviews all across the board and widget #2 is getting horrible reviews across the board, I'm going to recommend widget #1. *dislaimer* I'm not saying either subwoofer sounds better or worse here, I'm simply using an example.

And +1 to what Denim said - if you're talking 10's now, out goes the Mag.

I suppose thats true if you look at it that way. I plan to run a new mag based off your guys reviews. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I guess thats more my problem than theirs though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hitbybrick.gif.68a672fae224041f00769a97c2c1bf2d.gif
