All too often the speakers we want won't fit int he factory location or just sound/look like poo in the stock locations. I'd like to see your custom speaker mounts.

I had those speakers in my first truck. They're good stuff for the price.

Yeah, I've got a really old school sony amp sitting here (50x2) to throw on em, can't wait.

I love 'em so far, they keep up with the subs fine, and you gotta love that grill, way nicer than the newer type s's.

I agree. the grille for the old models ****. I installed the CS model (newer ones) in the family tahoe. Didn't use the grilles.... just wasn't worth the effort.

When mids don't in the factory location in the doors...

i break out my jigsaw.

I broke out my jigsaw as well. When you have 8s, you kinda have to.

Don't have a before picture, but originally the door would only accept a 6.5 and you HAD to use a 1/2" spacer. I originally had some seas l18's with an MDF spacer. Now I have Dyn mw162's on 3/8" plastic cutting board spacer. I have about 4 layers total of deadener with an extra layer around the woofer itself, and 2 layers of ensolite.
