Mine was basically a particle board upside down "T" that the amp is bolted to, and then a really this carpeted plywood cover upside down "L" shape to trim it out and make it look tight. Pretty basic for mine.

What is the basic structure of a rack and are they hard to put together? Are their any tutorials about how to design one?

Common sense and creativity are your friend. Just find a spot to mount it, build around it making sure to leave room for wires. Try not to mount the amp upside down or choke it off from the airflow either.

that HiFonics van FTW...(for the Winter? &gt... forgot to mention in the mods he took the heater coils out... no need for a heater with all dem amps! LOL! j/k
