Finishing off box...

Well I built my first ported box..The cuts werent perfect but I am going to sand the edges and make em fit the best I can...Only 2 things left...When I cut out the holes for the subs I think they are a tad off because one of the screws just spins and doesnt really catch so I am going to have to use some weather stripping or something to help seal the sub into the box and the next to deal with is covering or painting the box now...I have already figured out I do not want to carpet so what I was thinking was the diy bed liner. I have heard pros and cons...one thing I really dont want is it stinking up my car...I was then thinking about getting a good wood sealant to help seal the poors and cracks, then priming it,then using a latex/some kind of paint. What would you guys recommend for a noob box builder as far as finishing it off??

just leave it bare, thats how all my boxes are, except i may paint one once in a while. and for the screw not catching the hole, just spin the sub a little and get it to where all the holes have good wood. maybe clear silicone around the sub so it doesnt leak

I have an enclosure that I covered with the spray on ghetto liner and it didn't turn out bad but it will take probably 2-3 cans if you want it thick. I can get pics if you want.

pics please.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This was one of the first enclosures I have ever built and it's about 3 years old. That's three layers of the spray stuff and one can barely covered the whole thing.

looks like regular paint to me
It does. The baffle piece was added later and sprayed with black paint actually. The stuff has sort of a rubbery feel to it and it much tougher than paint. It doesn't look that great but it does water proof it and makes it kind of durable, much more so than just paint.
