Shorted

I was driving home when the amps power cable wiggled loose and touch one of the postive terminals. It created a static sound and then I could smell burnt toast. The head unit says its playing but no sound comes out of any of the speakers. What happen and how can I fix it?

It could have done any number of things. How many speakers do you have hooked up to the amp. What about your mid's and hi's do they not work either? Do you only have your amp running off one channel?

The amp mentioned is bridged to the subs only. The other amp runs the rest of the speakers. I have 4 way 6x9s in the rear and 6.5 components in the front (I'm pretty sure that the xovers have some sort of protection against this sort of problem).
