short xmax question

Hey,

So here is short question. Alpine Type R's Xmax is 18 mm.

But this is 18mm forward and 18mm reverse (1)?

Or 9mm forward and 9mm reverse (2)?

Which one of these examples is correct?

xmax is a one way measurment.

 

[Immacomputer 10+ year member]

By one way, that means forward or reverse. If you see a spec saying, P-P or peak to peak, that means full travel.
