Short In Amp

Hey guys, i have a question, is it possible to Have a short in your amp system, Because my old amp died, and i bought a new one, and i dont want to install it yet incase there is a short, i'd appreciate info. If it could be a short, how do i fix it

Make Sure they are all connected?

just make sure the wires coat isnt cut up and the power wires arnt arching on metal. if you dont understand what i mean then yes take it to a shop lol

no i got what your saying, and i figured it out, thanks a lot

I found out that the remote wire was a little stripped and could have been touching metal, could have that been the problem? i just repatched it and it still doesnt work, but maybe there is another place that it is stripped, any advice??
