Shopping for an Amp

I'm looking for a new amp to run on my (2) DD1508's. The enclosure is 1.75 cuft common chamber, subs grouped on one end, ported on the opposite end(if that matters). The subs are DVC wired to 1 ohm.

What I'm looking at:

AQ1200D

Hifonics Brutus BXI-1610d

Hifonics Brutus BXI-2010d

AQ2200D

Let me just say that I really like the AQ amps and have been leaning twords the AQ2200. My concerns are that I don't want to overpower these subs but I've seen more than one person state that they have ran 1100rms on them with daily set ups. As long as I watch the gains as bones22 suggested, I should be good. But with that, I'm worried about my electrical since the biggest I'm looking to upgrade my electrical is with an 1800 Kinetik. Big 3 is already done with stock alternator. If I were to go with the AQ1200, I'd be afraid that it wouldnt be enough power, but as I stated above, I love both of these amps

Which puts the Brutus amps right in the middle. I've heard claims of how they're overated but the member sicaudio recently said that the 09 Brutus line, does rated power + maybe more. I've also seen people having problems running these down to 1 ohm loads. Is this a wide spread problem or are those people just f'd up? Anyways, there's some knowledgeable and experienced folks here, and your input would be greatly appreciated. I'm open for suggestions for other amps but the most I'm willing to spend is the price of the AQ2200 which is 389. Thanks.

It is said you need about 500 to wake those 1508's up, so go with the aq 1200, and you wont have to worry about it. Or for that money you can find a sundown 1500.... theyll see somewhere around 1700 @1 ohm

Edit: don't buy Hifonics if you can afford better.

That's a nice looking setup you got there.

I'd go with the 2200D if you have the money. You don't have to put full power of the amp if you don't want / don't think your electrical will hold up...

1200D would be fine too.

I have somewhat eyeballed the Sundown1500 but for some reason I was thinking they were out of my price range. I will definitely consider it now.
You will definitely be able to get it used for that, and for a few bucks more, you can get one new:http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SAZ%252d1500D.html

Thanks Soundstreamer I'm real anal about my setup(OCD) but I'm still learning at the same time. This pretty much eliminates the Hifonics, I just added them in as an option for power within my price range. Which leaves me with the AQ1200d, AQ2200d, and Sundown1500d. Another member suggested another batt that I am going to look at as another option- XS Power D3400.

I'm not too familiar with sundown, everything I do know about them is just from passing through threads with no extensive research. But, didnt they discontinue the 1500 and go with the new 2000? Or will they still be making them? Either way I'm sure it's a fine amp. Hopefully, I would be able to find a decent one used, or get a hell of a deal on one if I were to go that route. $440 is not bad, but I still have a battery to buy. The price on both amps and batteries that I'm looking at keep going up lol.

well if you want a good amount of power like the 500+ watts each as stated above unless your 1508's are the dual VC you won't get that kind of power out of 1200d or the 1610d

also not sure about the sundowns 1500's 2 ohm rating

you need to find an amp that does its power at 2 ohm if the are single VC

1 ohm if they are dual VC

They're dvc wired to 1 ohm
