i have heard that the adire shiva's are pretty much a home stereo sub. is this true?

They can be used for home audio...all of Adire's subs are good home subs...they are $125 I believe...but the Maelstrom, 18" sub(basically an 18" shiva) is $150.

do u know the rms power handling on both of those subs? and wich one will get louder?

Common sense would lead me to believe that the 18" would get louder than the 12"

yeah i checked the site and under the specs it says Pmax then has a power rating and so im lead to belive that that is the max power so i was wondering if u knew the rms or if that was? and i thought maybe u could get the shiva in an 18" model also so i was wondering wich is louder but i guess u cant so the 18 is louder. so i need to know wich one's rms is less because i dont have all that many watts to throw at it?

the maelstrom isnt $150, thats the tempest, the maelstrom is $299. The maelstrom, tempest, and shiva are all bassically the same sub with different cone sizes, 18", 15", 12". I would really like to see a 10" design of this style.

I wish i had a Brahma and a 1500 watt powered amp for my room. It would be sweet. Too bad home stereo amplifiers are soo dam much.
