what's up guys i got four 2003 model xxx's one had a shifted motor i am trying to repair, I have spoke with corey at SPL audio and was more than happy to help me out with him fixing it but the funds just seem soo hard to come by lol so i was reading online if you heat a motor up to around 400° farenheight the motor will lose almost all of it's magnetism. is this true will i hurt anything if i do this? One more question if i do it does the motor have to be re-magnetized? thanks for any and all help

^ saving a finger is rite i have seen many pix of broken fingers and stiches from tring.

heating it will weaken the motor but also chance of cracking a slug then you have to send to get recharged if you dont crack. those slugs arent that hard to crack...

yes it will loose its magnetism....permanently,thats a bad way to go man,you would need to send it to get recharged....just send it to SPL he can fix it for a good price
