It doesn't matter. She was basically brain-dead, or at the very least a vegetable...and I would rather be dead than be in that state for the rest of my life. I don't see why anyone who believes in God (esp. the Religious Right) would want to prolong that kind of life when all they needed to do is die and go to heaven.

exactly, your better off dying than just staring at a wall, or a camera for 24/7, not being able to sleep, but to just be there an do... ...blah. No thoughts, no actions, no communication what-so-ever. There just feeding a lifeless body and wasting the parents money and maybe our money (i don't know). Plain and simply put, she's dead. Since 1991 she's been dead. Why make her into a ****ing zombie?

the fact is, i am happy she is dead, if you think my poinions are wrong and w/e, well fvck you everyone has there own opinions on this case/controversy.

I find the lack of compassion here disgusting; I also find that it's a reflection of the majority of society, which is also disgusting.

There's obviously no place left for decency in the world.

I heard Howard Stern play a tape of 'the Pope, trying to speak.'

while I will in no way celerbrate her death, I will say she is probabaly in a better place now.

But the media frenzy is indeed amusing, like the need something new to bring to light.

If they spent 50% of the time on homeless children in the US(stories and awareness), there may not be anymore....crazy....

I don't know, maybe we, as a society, should celebrate death instead of grieving. It is, after all, only a transition according to most belief.

The facts didn't come out ten years ago. Like the articles I have posted none of this became known until 2002. The media did a great job of initially convincing me that she should be pulled off the feeding tube afterall she had been this way for 10 years. What they didn't tell me was all the facts I found later. The husband gave her no chance to recover through therapy.

I would have been okay with her being removed from the feeding tube if it was found that she couldn't drink or eat when attempted and an MRI had been done. But this wasn't allowed.

What I find sad is that the husband wouldn't allow for her to even attempt to eat drink or take communion. What could it hurt? Or are they going to make the case that eating is simply a reflex. Michael wouldn't allow the family in the room as Terri was near death. Nader and Bush both disagreed with the outcome along with congress but it seems the courts and media hold all the power.

I also feel this opens the gate to legalizing *******. First if you put it in writing that you would rather be dead than live with dimensia then you will be legally killed.

But what about those that are mentally ill? Being mentally ill can be worse than physical illness or disability so why no allow those that are mentally ill and depressed to commit *******.
