For a wedding present a family member (who is anonymous) told my mom to have me pick something out for the house for about $150. I'm between a 2 channel stereo receiver to connect to the tv, or one of those dang ipod dock things (that my fiance wants).
I'm only considering a receiver for 2 reasons: It would give me a chance to start on home audio and I could use my Seas L18's paired with a tweeter to make a nice little l/r setup for the living room. Also this setup would be used later to compliment a surround setup probably.
Went to HH Gregg today and found a Sherwood rx-4109 for $93. It seems to have the basic power requirements I need, but I've never heard of them. Cheapest internet price I can find is $120+shipping.
So, is this worth pursuing or should I just get one of those ipod dock w/speakers things?
