shaved handles

ok so im goin to shave the handles and trunk on my galaxie. Does the trunk relay that comes with the kit work as a popper? or would i have to buy a whole seperate solenoid and stuff?

you'll need poppers... good ones.

i'd also advise you to run some wire underneath the car that bypasses the alarm and goes directly to one of the poppers so that if your alarm fails or your battery dies you can hit it with a 12v battery and get into the car...

honestly though, shaved doors aren't a great idea for a daily driver.. is this your everyday car?

it would be a everyday driver until i get a ricer to fix up since there better on gas, then it would just be a fun and weekend car.

^ i can imagine... you'd HAVE to have a priority driver door unlock set up on your alarm/keyless entry/whatever... and what happens when you want to open up more doors? you'd have to pop ALL of them unless you set up some kind of pulse counter (or smiliar device) that interprets the # of unlock pulses and opens the corresponding door...

well the kits i were lookin at has like 4 way remotes so u could link each door or doors and trunk to diff. buttons? idk i might just stick with the handles, i like the clean look of shaved but it will prolly be a big problem down the road with the doors weighin so much?

and for the wiring bypass part you can buy a manual door popper that sticks to the car and u just puch a button and it pops open... idk im not sure what ill do yet. just figured i would get some 2nd opinions.

they make a cool kit that replaces your handle with a small a magnet (i think its a magnet) and u get a key that swipes by it to open.

doesnt completely rid a handle but makes it less noticable
