Shattered my rear view!!!

Yea... I put 2k watts on my xplods and it shattered the **** outta it.

Actually it was an epic failed attempt at makin my rear view useful. Every time I have my system on the mirror just falls down to its lowest point so I am lookin back at my rear seats. The screw on the back has reverse threads or something because I tried tightening it and something inside fell off and made the entire mirror just barely hold onto the metal mounting ball.

So I took the mirror off and attempted to get the glass out so I could reassemble the insides and I ended up breaking the mirror. That was my attempt at putting it back together lol...as you can see its not going to work because I get like 5 different views. I did manage to get the thing to hold on tighter tho.....too bad I gotta buy a new mirror now.

yur lucky. First night using my hdc3's....my big ol hunkin rear view with degree and direction and shit, snapped off my window, takin a chunk of glass with it, and crackin the window in 2 places.

I can tell you I will get my window replaced but won't be runnin a rear view after that incident...who needs rear views anyways

dude i burped my xplods at 3200w wired down to 0.23 oxms and my back window blew out...it made a circle blow out like a baseball went thru it but it wasnt a baseball that went thru the window.

The car runs great but it really looks like a POS so it doesn't really matter if it looks factory or not. I am thinking about getting one that mounts on the windshield just because the roof flexes so much and since the factory mirror is attached to the roof it ****s it.

Lol at the cellphone comment....and yea the fire would be the shitty dragon seat covers that came with it....looked under them and decided they look better.

I still dont have a mirror in my Cougar. It broke off a while back during some testing and working on the enclosure. I glued it back on with CA, ended up falling off soon after when I was playing some music, tried gluing it again but that didnt work. Then I said **** it. I ended up getting a new mirror, glued the new one on. Lasted a week, now Im back to no mirror. I dont know what to do to keep the bastard stuck on.

Yea that stuff works good. The two part kind anyways. That happened in my old Grand marquis. Glued it with some of the two part glue for rear views I found at Napa and had no problems after that.
