I've heard several R set ups and sharp was never a word that came to mind. boomy/muddy would be a better description.

I run a 15" Q in the GF's Cobalt in a ported box tuned to 32Hz and it's quite punchy on metal/rock and pounds the lows on rap...

How do you mean "sharp" for subs? I've heard tweeters that are sharp, but subs...not so much.

Any suggestions?I am not going to spend tooo much money on this set up. Because i just want something simple.

I drive a Copalt SS so the car isnt that big at all.

I recall talking to you about the car in your build thread. Are you concerned with weight? By "sharp," do you mean tight, well-defined bass?

If the answer to both questions is a yes, I'd suggest the following:

This driver does very well in a ~1.2ft3 sealed or 1.5ft3 ported enclosure. It's extremely sensitive, more than its specs suggest, so you can use a relatively small amp. I preferred its performance to an IDQ12V2. If you're looking for a delineated low end with impressive dynamic drive on a budget, this is it. As a bonus, the sub weighs ~30-40lbs with enclosure, depending.

This is also a sensitive, very good sounding driver that does well in a 1ft3 sealed enclosure. Essentially, everything said above applies here, albeit without as much of a (sonic) kick in the ***. Good luck.

but for real, for it being ported it's super tight, and clean. even double kicks are awesome and handled really well.

the PG RSDC's rock, very efficient and they sound great. Just seriously dont feed them much more than 600 watts if going ported.
