Shady Onlinecarstereo stuff :(

I should be happy that they created a hassle for me? While I'm glad they are sending a UPS truck to pick it up, if I had to pay to ship it back myself, I'd just do a chargeback and keep the speakers until they paid for shipping, anyway. Good intentions or not, they are silly for substituting a 6 inch speaker for a 6.5 inch speaker without notifying me, or letting me cancel. The very least they could do is remove it from their website, or list it as out of stock. Instead, it's still sitting there as purchasable, so more people can waste time with them.

Don't be so accepting of bad service.

It could be ALOT worse... ALOT.

From my end? Not really. A simple call to my credit card company would get my money back, and it would be up to Onlinecarstereo to send someone to pick up the speakers or not.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they offered to pay for shipping without being threatened, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. If you think otherwise, you must consistanty shop at some REAL shady places.

gotta love getting the runaroundacaraudio.com

"email our return department"

"you need to mark the title as RA #"

"you need to call to get an RA #"

I was on the phone with them, outraged, furious, annoyed, I had to give my little order # everytime I called, and I called so many times I still to this day remember my order #.... its been a year.

I highly reccomend you stay away from the unauthorized cheap online sites. I paid $375 for a JL 300/4 from acaraudio.com and it came broken, because they messed it up taking the serial # out from inside, which is illegal i believe, and i had to pay $135 to have it repaired. By the time it was all said and done I wouldve paid less if I bought it through Car Toys....

are there some okay unauth. stores? sure, and thats great if it works for you, but I just dont think its worth it.
The cliche goes "you get what you pay for" and I totally believe it. In my opinion the reason your local shop/dealer charges more is BECAUSE of the service and garantees you get with the product. It's awesome to feel like you got over and scored cheap gear on a web site and saved xx$ over the "dealer" but the hidden cost is if it's wrong, or breaks the offical policy tends to be "sorry 'bout that- NEXT!" Maybey I'm dumb, but I tend to stick to dealers I know for my own peace of mind, because I want it to work the first time and get answers in a timely fashion if it doesn't.
