Sexiest subs

Loudspeaker details tells me i need a cone...

" The loudspeaker involves electromechanical processes where the amplified audio signal must move a cone or other mechanical device to produce sound like the original sound wave."

Even the famous wiki will help you in your learning process...

Please don't tell m3 you don't call a Piezo a loudspeaker.

Flat panels still have cones.

Oh really....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If expanding the definition of 'cone' the more you learn, I guess that's one way to do it. Ribbons are cones as well?

usually subs= loud speakersMeaning they have a cone on them
Um what? A speaker only need move air to the frequency given to it. How they do it matters not. Cone, veins, blades, who gives a shit how the air is moved? Hell even if someone were to make contraption that ionizes air fast enough to get it to reproduce frequencies accurately, then that would be a speaker in my book too. That would have no moving parts in it.

The cyclone is still a subwoofer as is the trw17. The TRW17 is getting a lot of attention in the HT segment as a great sub sonic IB solution. You wouldn't want to run just it as your sub though as it peters out around 40hz(or maybe even sooner, cant recall exactly. It is more to supplement a good sub system for subsonic data in movies. I see no practical application for playing music in a car with the TRW17 or the cyclone.
