Severe dimming, then shut down.

That is definitely a bad ground.. where he put your ground.. is it bolted down..? you said its just jammed in there??? is it sanded down to the metal? and wired to the headlights?? wtf? dumbest shit i have ever heard of..

 
well, i guess u can say its bolted, but like its jamed under a hinge thingy and then the screw that holds the net in my trunk up its jammed through the hinge and through the wire holding it in.

 
I doubt the stock battery ground has anything to do with it with the low amount of power he has.. the back ground not being secured is the problem.. ground location has nothing to do with the electronics it affects.. he has an open circuit each time the ground disconnects.. im surprised you aren't blowing fuses yet.. or starting a fire..disconnect your amp until you get this solved..
