SE's or SX's!!

ne suggestions on the size of the box for each se 15.....want it loud but sq is still important?
2 cubic feet each sealed. 4 cubic feet each ported to 30hz - per RE's recs.

Will be loud either way you choose to run it. And the SQ will remain great ported or sealed.

I recommend you port the 12's first. Then if you decide you want more, spend the money. That way it is fully justified in spending the un-needed cash.

cuz i want a very noticible change from my se's now.....and plus it wont cost me too much to get 15's when i sell the 12's......and ive got sum extra cash...jus kinda nervous about 15's dont kno if they will b accurate enough
trust me, if you have enough money to buy the 15's why not try to just build/ buy a ported box for your SE's that you have now. It will have a significant increase in spl. and at the same time, youre saving room, and money instead of buying new 15" subs.

Get reconed/rebasketed to 15's? I don't have a clue how much that would cost... I'd try to port your 12's first, then if that isn't enought, upgrade. MDF isn't that expensive...

Whats crazy to me is that RE recommends 3.5 ported for the SX15 and 4 for the ported SE15

how about port the SEs 1st... if u dont like the sounds sell the SXs and put those in the ported box and buy a bigger amp or another one there prob solved 2.5 apiece ported for SXs would be pretty loud, my 1 was really loud

ive already decided to go with the dual 15" se's ported....im gonna run them off a re 12.1 amp hopin it wont overpower them.....i jus dont kno how big of a box to use or what to tune them too.....?
