LOL to all these kiddies saying they were in 2nd grade, 4th grade etc...yup, I'm ancient too I guess as I was at work...met my wife during lunch that day and we went to Mass at the cathedral...sad day that.

I was watching a few minutes of the remembrance show on TV before the Beloit Competition today,

A guy was lucky enough to be late that day to work or he wouldve been on the floor the plain hit. how lucky eh?

I was in fourth grade as well. My teacher got a phone call, and we all went into the library with most of the rest of the school to watch the news on a TV. I remember all the teachers were huddled in a corner talking, worried. I didn't know what the world trade center was or why it mattered; all I knew was that we were watching some building get hit by a plane.

I'm pretty sure we watched as the second plane hit. I do remember something that happened a few days after that; a bunch of students were talking about seeing the devil's face in the smoke. They were printing off pages and showing everyone. Does anyone else remember that? Here's a picture for reference.

i was in 9th grade sitting in algebra 2 we watched the second plane hit, we watched tv rest of day and rest of week for that matter. my cousin brian worked on the stock market in NYC back then he worked for merril lynch i believe then...well he worked in the WTC but he ended up getting transfered home to pittsburgh 2 1/2 weeks earlier and that ended up saving his life because the rest of his friends/co-workers died that day along with his 2 roommates he shared an apartment with in hoboken. crazy that he got saved like that but i know our family was really greatful that he did.

its a shame 9/11 happened tho, things like that should never happen..cost alot of young people there lives because of the war that came from the attacks... i lost a few friends over in iraq/afganistan and another that was wounded in iraq in the leg. my cousin mike did 2 tours in iraq and one in afganistan with the 101st airborne before he finally got out...he still wont talk about what happened over there though...he was also in kosovo..hes seen quite a bit of messed up stuff from what little he has talked about.
