Hi
I am new here and i hope im posting this in the right spot. Before posting my issues here i consulted few friends and searched google. Still with no 100% answer to my problem.
I have kenwood kdc-bt755hd installed in my 2006 Volvo VNL630 semi tuck. Did the install myself using WV harness, because volvo stock radio harness is the same as WV. Speakers are stock. Sirius radio unit attached to head unit. No amp and stock wiring to speakers.
Problem 1:
Volume goes from 1 to 35.
When truck is off, only on ignition i can hear sound from volum level 15 and its pretty loud when it gets to max at 35. Not extremely but its good. When truck is on i can hear sound from volume level 20 and when it gets to max its not that loud anymore. Would new speakers help or i have other problems?
Stock radio was just basic cassette anf FM radio. Also sound only appeared around volume level 10
Problem 2:
Radio sometimes does not turn on. This is what i ivestigated.
Semi truck has ignition position which turns radio on. Then i have wait few seconds while trucks computer kicks in and i can turn the key to start the truck. From ignition key position to start(crank) position power goes out, radio turns off, but when truck starts and power comes on, sometimes radio does not turn on. And if i try again and again nothing, one solution is to unplug wiring harness from truck and radio, plug it back in and try again, sometimes it works:
To me this is some alien stuff and im not that educated in car audio. If anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it.
