Selenium 8's LOUDER than the 6.5s??

Ive never heard either of these. But the 8's seem to have a decent bit more power handling and alot more sensitivity.

Only thing that bothers me is that they only come in 8ohm and I dont have much room to put more than one per door if I went with the 8's

A pair of 6's will be a bit louder, but it's not a huge jump and the 8's will sound better, I'd just do a set of 8's.

I have no experience with them, but I find it confusing the 8's have a significantly higher Fs than the 6.5" version.

tis a midrange, not a midbass.

I'd do 2 6.5's if you can fit them as that'll give you the 4ohm load you're looking for.

But a single mid will get loud running at 8ohm. I just installed some 10" seleniums and crescendo super tweeters in a caddy. Mids/tweets are running at 8ohm and get very loud. Yes it's an SQ set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I have one of the 8s in each front door and if you want them to get loud they do, and if you prefer them to have more bass they do that too. I cant really get them to do both at the the time though.

The amount of bass they put out is impressive.
