so i know you should normally buy the amp and build your system around that but since i don't have that luxury, i now find myself having a hard time choosing an amp for my system. My older sibling passed down his 12 inch type x when he bought new speakers he ended up keeping his same amp and i now need a new amp. he was using an alpine v-power mrp-500 i was thinking of unlocking the full potential of the sub by using an 1000w amp. what would be a good amp reasonably priced between $150-$250 The subs are 4Ohm and DVC so i was thinging about a 2 ohm load make them more powerful then 4 ohms resistance? am I on the right track with that? thanks
