Securing the ports

I was putting my box together today, I have 4" PVC pipe, and cut the right sized holes, but attaching the port to the box wasn't as easy as I had planned. I ended up using 2 screws on the inside of each port to screw it into the wood, then sealing it w/ some plastic/wood epoxy I got at Kragen. Does anyone have better ways of making the ports stay in the box, or is this an acceptable way?

Epoxy, epoxy and more epoxy. Also a small triangle shaped piece of wood inside the box will give you a bit more to glue to.

Good idea to rough up the outer surface of the pipe with a file, sandpaper, or grinder to give the glue something to stick to.

Fibreglass and resin attaches ports real good.
